I just love Robin Hood. The original really did steal my heart. Firstly because Erroll Flynn was so suave as a good-hearted thief. I guess that contributed to my adoration for Disney’s adaptation of this classic. And many others also embraced Disney’s variation where foxes and bears made the protagonists. Hence, I made it a mission to spot my favorite Robin Hood characters at Disney parks.

Meet the Robin Hood Characters at Disney

Robin Hood – Himself

Robin has been staying in Sherwood Forest for quite some time, but he has made some appearances lately. He sometimes can be seen at the Characterpalooza in Hollywood Studios outside Fantasmic! but this is very very random and unplanned.

Your best bet is to see him, along with other Robin Hood characters, in the World Bazaar in Tokyo Disney. He has been seen frequently there. Sadly he has not been seen in Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, or on the Cruise Lines.

Little John

Robin Hood’s best friend is the most elusive of all Robin Hood characters to make appearances. He has not been seen in quite some time with some encounters dating back to the 1980’s. There have not been meet and greets since then unless very random or unscheduled.

Friar Tuck

The beloved preacher has not been seen regularly in Disney World Florida or Disneyland California for quite some time. However, he does make regular appearances in Disneyland Paris and is quite often spotted in the World Bazaar in Tokyo Disney. If you do see him in the US parks, it is a special occasion or event. He has not been seen in Hong Kong, Shanghai, or the Cruise Lines.

Prince John

The villainous lion who robs from the poor and Robin Hood’s major nemesis is mostly available in Disney Tokyo at the World Bazaar. Other than there, he has only been seen outside of special events at the Halloween Party in Disneyland California. Don’t plan on seeing him in any of the other Disney Parks. You never know, this may change with impromptu appearances, but these are not guaranteed.

Sheriff of Nottingham

This mean tax collector is readily available for meet and greets in Tokyo Disney at the World Bazaar just like his colleagues and other Robin Hood characters. He did more cameos in the past in Halloween parades and did attend the Not So Scary Halloween Party, but for now his only spot is in Japan.

So there you have it. These are the only Robin Hood characters that make appearances. Sadly Maid Marion, Lady Cluck, the Rooster Minstrel, and the bunny family have never left Sherwood Forest to visit their fans. Stay tuned for more character guides coming soon including Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast!
